Biografía

A los 18 años se trasladó a Estados Unidos para promocionarse artísticamente. Se vio en apuros económicos hasta que la serie de TV Family Ties le dio su primera oportunidad. En esta serie conoció a su actual esposa, la actriz Tracy Pollan, con la cual ha tenido cuatro hijos.

A los 30 años es diagnosticado de enfermedad de Parkinson.

En 1996 volvió a trabajar, de nuevo en una serie de TV (Spin City), consiguiendo tres Golden Globes, tres nominaciones a los Premios Emmy, el People Choice Award y dos Screen Actors Guild Awards.
